Frequently Asked

A few things you might be wondering…

We’ll keep adding to this page as questions roll in - so if you’re unsure about something, just ask. If one person is thinking it, ten people probably are.

Can I bring my baby / kids?

Yes, babies and kids are very welcome at the ceremony and early evening celebrations.

We’d love for them to be there for the vows, the food and the golden-hour magic. Please make sure you RSVP for them so we can cater accordingly.

However… As the night goes on, the music will get louder and the vibe will shift from ‘charming wedding’ to ‘this escalated quickly.’

So we gently suggest arranging an extraction plan before the party hits full stride.

That said, children are warmly welcomed - but absolutely not compulsory. If you’d prefer to frame this as a sophisticated adults-only getaway and lovingly deposit your offspring with the in-laws for the weekend, we fully support you. We will not be telling anyone.

Do what works for your family. We’ll be thrilled either way.

The rest of the weekend events will be even more relaxed. And if travelling with little ones, Margaret River is very family-friendly.

What should I wear?

Ah, the big question. More information on this to come - as you know, Tom is a wardrobe obsessive, and is pulling together the details / vision boards as we speak.

What if I can only attend part of the weekend?

No problem at all.

We know it’s a destination and not everyone can take a full week off to sink wines and swim.

If you can only make the wedding itself, we’ll be thrilled.

If you come for one extra event, even better.

If you move to Margaret River permanently after this, we support it.

Will there be transport on the wedding day?

Yes, we’re planning transport to and from the venue for guests staying in Margaret River Town and Prevelly.

Details will follow once we have a better idea of where everyone is based. Staying in those areas will make life very easy.

If you’re further afield, you may need to book / coordinate lifts.

How do we get around Margaret River?

Short answer: hire a car. The region is spread out and while there are taxis, they are limited.

What’s the weather like in February?

Typically warm, sunny and glorious. Think high 20s (°C), long evenings and very swimmable water. That said, it’s still coastal WA. A breeze can roll in, and evenings can cool down.

Is there anything we should book in advance?

Yes:

  • Accommodation
  • Car hire.
